When having difficult times or suffering in some way, often we feel hopeless or as if we are stuck, kind of like at a full stop. Here is a quick tip from my online course Calming the Storm:
Helen Keller once said:
"all the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming it."
Helen overcame the enormous adversities of deafness, blindness and muteness. She courageously fought to communicate with the outside world and in the process; she created a life of accomplishment and fulfillment. Helen Keller's life teaches us that the process of finding meaning in suffering, is not in feeling like a victim of one's fate. Instead, it comes from overcoming your suffering by reaching out and helping others. Think about ways in which you can reach out and help others, in this way you can overcome your own suffering while helping those in need. Be the light for others.
