Here is a Chinese wild herb that grows in Alaska, Yukon, Most of China, Japan, and Korea, and other cool areas of the world... and it stimulates Yin energy in the body. Also known as Radix Glehniae and in Chinese medicine, it's called Bei Sha Shen and sometimes called glehnia.

Heals Dry Coughs - Bei Sha Shen is well known for healing a dry nagging cough. And also helps to get rid of phlegm and mucus. And Bei Sha Shen is many times boiled in combination with licorice root, mulberry leaf, and other herbs.

Heals Lung Disease - Bei Sha Shen is also effective for must common lung diseases such as asthma and bronchitis.

A Yin Tonic in TCM - Bei Sha Shen is a good Yin tonic that helps to moisten dry eyes, mouth, and a dry throat.

Removes Heat from the Body - Bei Sha Shen also helps to remove heat from the body and help regulate body temperature.

Slows Down Gastric Hyperactivity - If a person has a very active stomach and has too much activity going on then Bei Sha Shen may be the best herb to use.

Heals Chronic Gastritis - Studies show that those with long term chronic gastritis can be healed by taking 1 and up to 3 cups of Bei Sha Shen tea daily.

Heals Migraine Headaches - In Korea Bei Sha Shen is used to heal migraine headaches. Taking 1.5 teaspoons of the dried root and adding it to a cup of boiling water and letting it steep for 15 minutes and then drinking 1 to 3 cups a day.

Helps with Pain - This wonderful herb also helps to get rid of nagging pain and thus also helps with stress.

Anti-inflammatory Agent - In studies, Bei Sha Shen was also shown to be a good Bei Sha Shen agent. And because inflammation is the first step towards disease it's important to stop inflammation as soon as possible.

Anti-Tumor Abilities - Studies show that Bei Sha Shen can also help with certain types of cancer. Bei Sha Shen has been shown to have a healing effect on gastric cancer, malignant melanoma, and uterine cancer.

Lowers Fevers - Bei Sha Shen lowers fevers and thus helps to prevent convulsions and brain damage caused by high fevers.

Heals Itchy Dry Skin - Bei Sha Shen also helps to heal itchy dry skin especially dry skin brought about by cold weather.

Antibacterial Agent - Bei Sha Shen is also a good antibacterial agent helping to kill bacterial invaders and prevent disease.

Contains - Beta-sitosterol, palmitic acid, petroselenic acid, linoleic acid, and phellopterin, and some essential oils.

No Side Effects - In normal doses there have been no adverse reactions of any kind. Of course, those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or small children should not use Bei Sha Shen.

Dose - Normal dose for Bei Sha Shen is 1.5 teaspoons of the dried herb added to hot water and steeped for 15 minutes and taken 1 to 3 times a day. But up to 9 to 15 grams of Bei Sha Shen can be taken if needed.

Forms - Bei Sha Shen can be found as a dried whole herb in long sticks, cut dried herb, powder, and granules. And Bei Sha Shen is also used in combination with other herbs in pills.

Finding - Bei Sha Shen can be found on eBay and Amazon for sale and also other places on-line... and at your local Chinese Health Practitioners office and Asian Markets.

Talk to Your TCM Practitioner - In Chinese Medicine, most herbs are usually given in combination with at least 3 herbs and up to 20 or 30 other herbs so talk to your local Traditional Chinese Practitioner about what he recommends.
