For the most part, this is my Story Book of being a Professional Social Worker-Community Organizer, father, grandfather, vet, teacher, Integrative and Holistic Health Practitioner, Professor Emeritus, now with over 80 years of life experiences, loving my Work, "Life, Liberty and in the Pursuit of Happiness." Joining our Nature with our True Nature, in the Present Moment-Now (Gestalt Approach to Health and Healing) and learning to empower our Injured Warriors and their families to become Free from Pain and Suffering is our priority. We offer Health Services, not Drugs and Labels (Psychic Tattoos) that prevent healing, restoration and resilience.

Our Successful Integrative Health Alliance, serving Injured Warriors and Families, many returning to our communities following 12 years of preparation and wars. We in Southern New Mexico, offer a Healthy Approach without psychotropic drugs and disorder labels. This is our Model approach: http://jerryvestinjuredwarrior.com/id15.html

With a commitment to "Be the Best We Can" and supported with a daily health care plan to improve the quality of life, health and relationships, we will *NOT" fall or step into the traps of the sick care industry--especially the behavioral health system.

Recent Assignments and Historical Professional Practice:

As Former Senior Social Worker for the premier "US Army Warrior Restoration and Resilience Center (R and R Center)," Ft. Bliss, TX, my responsibilities included meeting with soldiers as a primary therapist and with children and their families diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress (PTSd). I met with Warriors individually, in couples and in groups. Additionally, I served as the Coordinator of Health Education administering weekly programs, offered a daily meditation/relaxation program, participated in weekly therapeutic outings, and facilitated our weekly, water polo activity. Our successful mission and experimental program successfully returned injured active duty warriors back to the force, fit for duty. Our recovery, restoration and resilience programs apply integrative, intensive and extensive methods for 6 months, full time, for healing these Injuries & Wounds-- Massage, Meditation, Yoga, Reiki, Acupuncture, Tai Chi, Qigong, Braintrain & other neurological programs, and health therapies, such as, Expressive Arts, and Therapeutic Outings. (2008-2010)

In addition to my practice with soldiers, following retirement, I created and taught “Social Work Practice with Elders," NMSU School of Social Work, founder and team leader of the international community of certified partners of the "15-Minute Stress-Out Program;" Team Leader, Las Cruces, "Health Promotion Team with Elders;" and, "Stress Management/Health Promotion Instructor," 4 hr. classes US Army Community Services, and Wm.
