Hello, I am Dr. Suzanne Robison, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Certified Co-Occurring Disorder Professional. I received my Psy.D. and my second Master’s degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I have worked in a variety of treatment settings since 1994, and have contributed to the professional development of other clinicians through consultation and trainings, and as adjunct faculty for Villanova, Arcadia, and Argosy Universities, as well as the University of Pennsylvania. I am the co-author of a book chapter entitled “Residential Treatment Centers for Conduct Disorder”, published by Springer, and used to published a monthly column on the topic of applying Dialectical Behavior Therapy with an adolescent population.
I specialize in difficult to treat adolescent behaviors such as self injury, addiction, and oppositional behaviors. I also treat adults for issues such as trauma, mood and personality disorders, or addiction, and work with couples who wish to improve their relationships. In 2004 I began a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills training group modified for adolescents which runs Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 pm in my Lansdale office. I often run additional groups, such as a mentoring group for older adolescents and children, and a trauma recovery empowerment group. Please contact me if you have any questions, would like to arrange a free consultation for your mental health agency, or would like to schedule an appointment with me.
