Are you living in harmony with your body?

Within the arts there is the concept of singing or dancing together in harmony – with congruity and ease. I'd like to take a moment and draw a parallel to how you feel about your body.

What Does it Mean to Live in Harmony with Yourself?

You and your body are completely linked together. This is unavoidable and necessary so it becomes a matter of how to live harmoniously with yourself. I used to get frustrated with my body and would demand of it things that it sometimes couldn't do. Or, become extremely agitated because my body had the audacity to feel pain. Does any of this sound familiar? Sometimes we lack harmony and congruity with our own body! As bizarre as this may sound, it's actually quite true. How much harmony do you experience with your body? Do you listen to what it's trying to tell you? Pain, discomfort or other symptoms appear because your body is sending a message to your brain that something is wrong or needs your attention? How well are you paying attention to these messages? So, what does this have to do with Chiropractic?

Donny Epstein in his book 'Healing Myths, Healing Magic' says that "healing instantly begins the second we make a better choice for ourselves, even though our body may not appear to be "fixed" or healed." This is a powerful quote and has a lot to do with what we're talking about here today. The first step to healing your body is to recognize that improvements could be made! In that instant, you begin to move towards your goals.

What is your body trying to communicate with you today? Are you experiencing pain? And, if you are, do you know why? What is one small change you can make to your life today that will improve your health? Is there an area of your life you can make a better choice in?

The Chiropractic Adjustment helps you connect with your body at a deeper level. Under care your brain and body are able to communicate better allowing you and your child to be healthier! Your spine protects your spinal cord, which is responsible for carrying every message from your brain to your body. In order for your body to work properly, your brain and body have to be able to communicate. This is why your nervous system is so important! When your spine is aligned and your nervous system is functioning properly you have greater potential to create health! I invite you to discover how Chiropractic may be able to help you and your family stay healthy.
