"Anti-inflammatory, Ant-Cancer, Diuretic, and Full of Healing Antioxidants"
Here is a mouthwatering soup that will do the body good. Full of the goodness of Brussel Sprouts which will keep cancer away, they are diuretic to get rid of extra water weight, and anti-inflammatory at the same time. And wonderful plantain dumplings which are amazingly tasty and full of good carbs to keep you full of energy and going all day long. I love these dumplings and they are so simple to make and super nutritious.
Another Whole-Foods Plant-Based Recipe
4 - Cups of Organic Brussel Sprouts
6 - Cups of Organic Red and Green Bell Peppers - Chopped
6 - Cloves of Organic Garlic - Minced
1 - Large Organic Yellow Onion - Chopped
1 - Tablespoon of Organic Garlic Powder
1 - Cups of Finely Grated Organic Plantain - For thickening the soup
1 - Teaspoon of Organic Turmeric - For that nice yellow color
4 - Cups of Finely Grated Plantain to Form into Balls for the Dumplings
4 - Organic Bay Leaves
4 - Tablespoons of Dehydrated Veggies Like "Mrs Dash"
4 - Organic Veggie Salt-Free Bouillon Cubes
1/2 - Cup of Organic Spinach - Finely Chopped
Salt and Pepper to Taste
To make the dumplings finely grate green plantains and squash the grated plantain together in your hand to make a ball. You can also add some salt and pepper and garlic powder to this mixture if you like. Set them aside for later. I Love These Dumplings!
In a large pot add the onion and garlic and a little water and cook until everything is translucent. Then add everything else (except the dumplings). Cook until tender. At the last moment add the dumplings and cook for another 5 or 6 minutes just until the dumplings are cooked through.
Let cool and serve.
Serves 12 people
This soup will keep in the frig for 3 or 4 days. And it can be frozen for later use.
