Do you ever notice the same numbers over and over during your day? Do you dream of someone then run into them during your daily travels? These occurrences can be called synchronicities, and, they are ways we can start to pay attention to the subtleties in life. By fine tuning your abilities to do this and raising your awareness to yourself and your environment, you can utilize the repeating numbers as tools for personal growth.

Watch for repeating numbers

It is believed that when we see the same number over and over again, it is significant in that there is a message that we need to hear. This is a form of receiving guidance and can be a fun tool to begin using.

You may notice repeating numbers on license plates, clocks (especially digital clocks), street signs, house numbers, phone numbers and computer screens as well as many other places. The options are endless. If you notice that you start seeing the same number 3 or 4 times during your day, start paying attention. Write it down so you don't forget and look it up when you get home. It is surprising how it is just the message you need to hear!

The study of numbers and their meanings is called Numerology and, you can will find a lot of information both in books and on line about the significance of them.

Below, I have listed a few different types of numerology with brief explanations, I encourage you to use the one that resonates with you: Angel numbers and sequences are used as a tool, by your angels in order to communicate messages to you. As we evolve on a spiritual level, these number sequences can be a way of receiving guidance on decisions, they are a way of receiving support or can be used in personal growth. If you have something you are struggling with, just ask your angels to show you a sign and then pay attention – you may start seeing the answer with your own eyes!

1. Angel numbers or number sequences

The book featured in the image below is one of my favorite references by Doreen Virtue. I keep it by my bedside and use it many nights just to get the comfort of a message from them. I ask my angels for a message that I need to hear right now and, close my eyes, open the book to a random page and point my finger. Then, I trust that whatever number I am pointing to contains the message that I need to hear at the time – try it! Is based three things: sound of the number when spoken aloud, the positive or negative aspect and the elements.

2. Chinese numerology

The sound the number makes when spoken aloud is significant because a number with a sound that is similar to something "good" is considered auspicious, and, a number that sounds like something undesirable when spoken is considered less desirable. For example: in Chinese, the word "four" sounds like the word "death" and therefore, the number four is avoided at all costs. The numbers 0, 6, 8, and 9 are good numbers because their names sound similar to words that have positive meanings.

The Chinese also consider numbers to have a positive and a negative aspect. For example: the word "one" sounds like the word "honor" and represents independence; but, it can also represent loneliness or isolation depending on the aspect.

Finally, in Chinese numerology, numbers have an association to one of the 5 elements (Water, Fire, Earth, Wood and Metal). For example, the number one is "associated with the Water element, which symbolizes an ability to break through barriers on one's way to something better."

Considering these variables, it is up to the individual to manifest the best energy possible from each number they encounter. numerology.com/numerology-news Is when a number is assigned to each letter of the alphabet then, summed up and reduced to the lowest single digit before being translated into a meaning. This method can be used to find the "meanings" of words, names and even ideas.

3. Alphabetic numerology

The more I researched alphabetic numerology, the more I realized how many variables were at play. There are various numeric systems which use this method, a few being: Greek numerals, Hebrew numerals and Armenian numerals. And, each system has their own method of assigning number values. For example, the Greek alphabet has 24 letters (alpha to omega) and, these letters can be used to write numbers. The first nine letters of the alphabet stand for "the numbers from 1 to 9, the next nine letters stand for the multiples of 10, from 10 to 90, and the next nine letters stand for the multiples of 100, from 100 to 900." source Wikipedia Greek Alphabet Is similar to alphabetic numerology in that the numbers are obtained by reducing numbers to a single number. Each number is then associated with a Ruling Planet, a Yantra (a geometric diagram used as an aid to meditation), has friendly numbers, enemy numbers, associated colors, metals, karmic lessons etc.

4. Indian numerology

The Indian belief is that each of us has three numbers that are the most relevant to us: Works to find the astrological vibrations by using the following number values to represent letters of your name, then reducing them to a single number.

  • Psychic Number– "reveals the way you look at yourself". It is related to the day of the month you were born reduced to a single digit. For example, if your birthday is March 29th, add 2+9=11, then reduce that by adding 1+1=2, your psychic number would be 2. For interpretation, refer to the following Indian Number Analysis
  • Destiny Number-"indicates how you are viewed by the world and is related to your karma". It is determined by adding the date, month and year of your birth. For example, if your birthday is March 29, 1965. Add 3+2+9+1+9+6+5=35, 3+6=8, your destiny number is 8. For interpretation, refer to the following Indian Number Analysis
