Are you ready for a whole new approach to health, be it physical, emotional, relationship or spiritual health? Are you interested in taking your relationship with food, your body or your weight to a new and positive place? Are you carrying negative beliefs and feelings about yourself that keep you stuck and immobilized from reaching your life goals and your heart's desires? Do you feel overwhelmed by fear, anxiety, worrying, shame, guilt or unresolved grief about events of the past? Have you lost hope, motivation and the trust in your ability to find peace, happiness, meaning or fulfillment in your life?

After over 35 years of experience, training and practice as a Clinical Psychologist, I am now practicing as an Integrative Life, Health and Wellness Therapist/Coach. My approach to therapy is to help you discover and affirm the best in you. My approach is designed to help you see the brilliant potential within you and then, "light it on fire". Regardless of whether you are struggling with a physical/medical condition, an emotional/psychological issue, or a relationship, family, or spiritual conflict, I will draw upon all of my years of experience, training and teaching, to help you see yourself as a whole person who is so much more than merely a diagnostic label. I will listen to you and deeply, thoroughly and with compassion, hear your concerns and help you to create a personalized "roadmap to health" that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences and goals.

Loving kindness and compassion have, for too long, been the missing ingredients in Western Medicine and Psychology's recipes for treatment of what are almost always, bigger whole person imbalances. My approach is to affirm the best in you. That has always been my goal and will most definitely be my approach in working with you.

Integrative Life, Health and Wellness Coach
Carol Landesman, Ph.D.
September 2012 – Present (3 years 5 months)Gresham, OR

I practice as a Board Certified Life, Health and Wellness Coach. This enables me to practice in a truly holistic way. Having left behind a world of viewing people as nothing more than a diagnostic label, I am free to treat you as a multi-faceted, infinitely complex whole person. Drawing on my many years of training and broad scope of knowledge, I will teach you how to:

-resolve negative beliefs/ feelings about yourself
- improve self-esteem
-free yourself of preoccupations/ fears re. food, body image or weight
- use effective techniques for managing health, work and environmental stress
-overcome worry, anxiety and fear
-acquire communication skills and resolve relationship problems
-resolve grief, shame and guilt
- increase motivation and assertiveness
- gain a positive outlook on life

Over my 35+ years of practice, I have worked with people with a variety of physical and emotional health issues, including:

mood problems
worrying, anxiety and feelings of panic
eating disorders
relationship problems
auto-immune diseases
cardiovascular disease
sleep problems
post-traumatic stress
sugar and other food addictions
food allergies

As a holistic practitioner, I teach people how to achieve and maintain a healthy digestive system, which is the basis of physical health. I also teach people that digestion is not just about food, but also about your ability to "digest" the many unresolved issues in your life which effect your overall physical and emotional, health.

I practice out of my home, which is in a beautiful country setting. I am also available for phone sessions. I consider one's connection to nature and animals to be a vital part of human health. Given all of my years of experience, I am able to work with adults, teens and older children, on most issues that arise by virtue of being a human being on the planet at this very difficult point in time.
