I'm a Licensed, Registered & Nationally Board Certified Art Therapist. I hold extensive clinical training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Art Therapy & Mindfulness-Based Therapy and regularly meditate which helps me stay attuned to my clients. I am passionate about empowering clients using an integrative approach to wellness. Feeling understood, supported and cared for are cornerstones of the treatment that I provide. The unique combination of Art Therapy with Mindful Psychotherapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy can lead to profound and lasting change by learning to investigate our experiences with an attitude of kindness, curiosity and self-compassion.
I received my M.A., in Art Therapy from New York University in 2010. Prior to that, I received my B.F.A., in Communication Design from Pratt Institute in 2008. Since then, I've completed an 8-Week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course from Mindful Harlem in 2015, as well as 130 hours of Dialectical Behavior Therapy Training from the Treatment Implementation Collaborative, which I completed in 2016. I am student of my own mind, body and experience and have a regular meditation practice in addition to attending frequent retreats and in-services on Mindfulness-Based practices.
