In practice since: 2014
After graduating from NYU with a major in Art History, I began a career in arts administration and retail marketing. It was years later, while opening and running a resale maternity and children's clothing shop with a friend, that I realized I was drawn to the work of bringing people together in a supportive and empathic environment. I loved the community that grew up around the store. I returned to NYU to earn my Masters in Social Work and am now a licensed social worker in New York State. My experience ranges from clinician in out-patient mental health and private clinics, to social worker in the New York public school system. I have trained working in different modalities, from ongoing psychodynamic practice to more structured cognitive behavioral therapy. I have seen the benefits of incorporating mindfulness in to my practice and I enjoy sharing that with my clients. I work with my clients to help them get to the better they envision for themselves through a supportive therapeutic relationship.
I am pleased to announce that as of April2016 I will be joining Routh Chadwick LCSW and Associates. I will be available to offer Psychotherapy sessions to address clients' individual needs through a range of modalities, from structured Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to ongoing Supportive Counseling. I am here to help clients process whatever struggles or challenges they are encountering in their lives.
Some common issues I explore with clients are:
Sexuality and Identity
Trauma and PTSD
Loss of a loved one/ Grief
Impulse Control Disorders
