I have been granted the status of Professor Emeritus of Family Medicine and Community Health at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. "Retiring" after thirty years of teaching medical students, doctors in graduate training, faculty and practicing physicians the art of integrating mental and physical health practices, I continue as a consultant and lecturer as well as pursuing a private practice as a Licensed Psychologist in the Princeton area of New Jersey. I am the senior author of The Fifteen Minute Hour: Therapeutic Talk in Primary Care (5th Edition, 2015), and am currently working on another update. In my private practice I specialize in seeing patients who have been diagnosed with TMS (Tension Myositis Syndrome) and help them become pain free. I am available to lecture on a variety of topics including medical education, communication and stress management skills, successful aging, and the power of forgiveness.
