I believe in a full body experience, helping the mind and healing the body. I meet you where you are without judgment. The goal is not just getting you to a place where your difficulties are eliminated. We want to get you to a place where you function at a higher level and are better able to handle challenges in the future! I use a team approach which highlights your abilities, brings your existing strengths to the surface and builds your resilience. Our work together is built around moving you forward in a time sensitive manner that doesn't require endless therapy and an endless financial burden. Are you ready to get to work?
My dynamic approach uses EMDR, Pro-Longed Exposure and Cognitive Behavioral therapies. I specialize in the handling of depression, anxiety, stress, trauma (PTSD), alcohol and drug addiction and pre-marital education designed to enhance communication and problem solving while growing a friendship.
My varied background includes work with teenagers, families, civilians, police, firefighters, soldiers, Marines, federal government law enforcement and those addicted to alcohol and other drugs as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). I have worked with those in clearance sensitive positions and understand their concerns as it relates to confidentiality.
On the fitness front, I firmly believe in meal plans (eating well) and exercise plans. I am a certified spin instructor who combines this cardiovascular exercise with weight training. Often, I work with my clients in our office to develop the mental toughness needed to get results at the gym. If your head is in shape, your body will follow!
